Members of the Upper Hopkins Land Management Group have played a significant role over the years in contributing to the control of woody weeds, especially gorse, across our region. There are many benefits to controlling noxious weeds on your property, including maintaining your property value and agricultural productivity, protecting the local environment.
We have always aimed to work closely with other stakeholders who are focused on weed control to ensure the success of the work that we undertake. Other stakeholders we have worked with over the years include the Victorian Gorse Task Force, Glenelg Hopkins CMA, Ararat Rural City Council, Victorian Serrated Tussock Working Party and DELWP.
The UHLMG has a boom spray available for financial members to use for woody weed control. Contact the Landcare Facilitator for more information.
